D2H announces rebrand due to rapid expansion

  • Specialist technology and engineering consultancy becomes D2H Advanced Technologies
  • Rebrand represents evolving D2H business model and growing sectors of expertise
  • Technologies and processes proven in elite motorsport now benefitting global brands

Buckingham UK, 15th September 2020: D2H Advanced Technologies is the new name for our rapidly expanding specialist technology and engineering consultancy grown from a foundation in elite motorsport. Since being established five years ago, D2H has extended its expertise into a wide range of industrial, technology and high-performance sectors, and the rebrand from D2H Engineering to D2H Advanced Technologies reflects our increased capability to deliver technological solutions to a wide range of customers, including automotive.

Headquartered in Buckingham UK with US offices in North Carolina, we specialise in Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD), aerodynamics, mechanical design and advanced composites, alongside simulation, electronics & control systems and data sciences. We have developed technologies, components and processes that have been proven at the pinnacle of motorsport, and have been working closely with industry customers to transfer this expertise to benefit their projects, ranging from innovative electric vehicle design and light-weighting projects, to cutting edge datacentre cooling systems.

“D2H is unrecognisable now from when we started out in 2015,” explains D2H Advanced Technologies CEO, Darren Davies. “We’ve found our approach to development projects, honed in an elite motorsports environment, has been very successful. We help accelerate development to bring high quality products to market, faster than our customers previously thought possible. Our vehicle design and systems integration services, in particular, are becoming increasingly popular – our ability to provide a high quality end-to-end service increases quality and delivery speed, and reduces risk for our clients.”

Established by experienced motorsport engineers and technical specialists to provide clients with a trusted, innovative consultancy that could help release competitive advantage, D2H group has grown in only five years and offers constantly evolving engineering development tools and technological innovations for the automotive and motorsport sectors. A recent brief to design an “electric powered Tuk Tuk for the modern age” provides an example of D2H Advanced Technologies delivering a validated, ultra-low-cost EV chassis design, having worked closely with other partners to integrate their technology.

“The gap between motorsport and automotive requirements has been narrowing for a number of years,” concludes Davies. “Consumer pressure and legislation demands new and more efficient technologies in ever more compressed development timescales. Our experience in motorsport means we are ideally placed to help deliver the highest quality, fully integrated and validated solutions within very tight timescales. As a result, we’ve never been busier.”
